In this hip restaurant in Commerce we created a grandma's kitchen vibe with wall clutter collage and a fresh plants, each variety selected, planted and staged in the wee hours by our crew. The amazing fish platter was a salvo find, we love to weave design with a variety of textures and motifs.
This hostess stand & focal wall in a Birmingham hot spot needed a design update. We created an eclectic mix of art prints, funky planters a retro floor lamp and sweet wooden clock from a local vintage shop. This design is like a dimensional mélange of color , texture and materials each with distinct statement.
Our mission as the design crew was a private birthday party. We gathered details about the birthday guest and went to work purchasing the right mix of natural elements to adorn the 15 guest tables. These centerpieces featured a single stem, blanched manzanita branches and moss orbs. Candles finished the table arrangements and were the design feature overhead in a hanging array of glass multi sized orbs housing various sized candles that cast an amber glow to the evening sky for the party.
In this Ferndale restaurant we tied in the ZZ plant in all its glory as the living element to the design of this focal wall. Color coded leather books, an array of varied height plants and hand selected funky trinkets finished the upper ledge of this banquette seating. The juxtaposition of the rough brick wall and the live plantscape provided the textural balance.
The Upstairs of an Iconic Ferndale Restaurant
The owners said “Jujj it up”. So jujj we did! The wood on the walls was extracted from the old “Hazel Park Raceway” stables, custom made into this funky wood wall panelling. We added 1950’s vintage classroom chairs from Toronto, stunning tropical plants on every corner and nook and cascading plants in macrame hangers in each sun drenched window of the space. The peaceful space hosts private parties and meetings.
Custom design all begins with an idea or a favorite item. We have the eye for aesthetics and the heart for animals. Everyone can be our client.
Avery just needed a corner of her newly appointed home office to feel “new”. We worked quickly within her designated budget. Fresh design doesn’t have to be uber-expensive. Avery was thrilled to host her first post pandemic business meeting in her cool cozy office space.
Surprisingly single Joel wanted to add life to his dull apartment- to potentially impress. We cleaned the slate with fresh white walls, hand selected furnishings and art pieces. Neutral wood, leather and wool textures made the space masculine yet refined against a black iron room partition.

This client was thrilled to trust us with the plants and plant care for their popular rooftop lounge. Living in Michigan has us in extremes - tropicals just make us plunge fully into summer. Here we maximized on that theme.
Built in or portable plant boxes are customized for each setting. With a live planter box partition on this Chicago rooftop lounge we created a visual separation for more private seating.
